Very Good Speck Case
User: Abe Smith, Feb 22, 2008
Pros: Hard Grip, Covers and Hard falls Sexxxy Look
Cons: Dust Attracter, Lint and Dust Anti-Pocket
Speck case is awesome. Looks very sexxy. Wont really slide in to your pocket that easily. It does attract dust for about a a week until you have worn it a few times, and then it wont any more. Over all i give it an a A+
Decent protection
User: Randall Skoglund, Jul 16, 2007
Pros: Good fit, belt clop is removable
Cons: Belt clip spring is not tight enough
My choice was based on finding a case that would protect the phone from drops and assist in gripping it. I am a contractor and have had many phones and cases so this choice was based on which would protect from rugged use.
I looked @ several of the cases @ the Apple Store and decided on this one because of value and protection.
The Belkin apparently had issues with other reviews so that one was excluded immediately. I do not like the leather cases because they dont seem to fit correctly, and the Griffin plastic one looked good enough for protection but I was concerned again with a snug fit.
All the cases were priced @ $29.95 so the choice ended up to be finding the best value and protection and the Tough Skin won.
If your hands get dirty or wet this case is still easy to hold.
It does accumulate dust and stains but my concern is more for protection.
If you decide to use a screen protector, it is not a problem to add but there is not one included. This screen doesnt require one in my opinion.
My experience with cases that had screen protection has not been positive, Once they scratch it is hard to see and had to be removed later.
The removable clip makes this a good choice if you want to pocket the phone.
However the rubber makes it difficult to slide into pockets unless they are oversized.
It does add some bulk to the phone but is easily removable.
The dock does not work with this or most of the other cases.
Overall, I am very happy with the protection of the ToughSkin beside the loose spring on the clip and would recommend it to anyone who works as I do outdoors or in a rugged environment.

only fits holster with touchscreen facing out
User: Doug Lake, Feb 24, 2008
Pros: highly protective skin case
Cons: only fits holster with touchscreen facing out
The skin for this case is very good. Great grip for a mans adult hand, and likely to absorb corner drops.
However, the most vulnerable part of the iphone is the glass touchscreen face- even with an anti-glare film on the touchscreen (which I have). No one would argue this point. After putting the skin on the phone and attempting to place it into the holster, I found out the phone only fits properly if iphone is facing outward, leaving the touchscreen exposed to get scraped and scratched. I tried to holster the phone with the touchscreen facing in, but it has to be forced into the holster. Speck should have made the holster universal- so the phone could face in or out.
